Volume 71: Corey Bonnevie & Monopolized Records

This week on Strange Grooves, we’re excited to welcome Corey Bonnevie back on the show!

Long-time listeners may remember hearing from Corey back in Volume 53, where we chatted with him and Gavin about their band Little You Little Me (you can listen to that here.) This time around, we’re chatting with Corey about his label, Monopolized Records, which is getting ready to celebrate a milestone and host a kickass year-end show in Saint John.

We chat about how Monopolized got started, as well as the hard work and entrepreneurship skills you hone by working when running a DIY record label.

We reflect on our own experiences growing up around the local music scene, how venues and shows have evolved, and how local shows are run across the pond compared to North America.

CALLIES(?!), Treble Charger, live at Bayside Middle School, Girlicious, and so much more on this episode of Strange Grooves!

As always, if you like what you hear and would like to support our show and all the other cool things happening on Strange Grooves, please consider becoming a Patron and get some cool shit in the mail!

Until Next time, Keep It Strange xox.
