Vol 136: Back at the Cottage with The Love Family and their 10K + Record collection

Welcome back, Strange Crew!

We’re beyond thrilled to have Dave and Sarah Love back on the show this week! Long-time listeners will remember the Loves from way back in Volume 58

One of our hands-down favourite episodes and families we have ever had the chance to meet and become friends with.

A few years and a global pandemic later, we’re finally by at the Love residence on the Kingston Peninsula, where Dave and his family are still enjoying his gigantic (as in like 10,000 records plus, gigantic) record collection and hosting shows at The Cottage, the adorable little venue housed on their property.

We chat with Dave about the recent cull of his collection and what’s been on his want list. Sarah also joins us to discuss the importance of sharing live music experiences with their kids and the special role The Cottage plays in that. We look through their incredible photo albums full of hundreds of remakes of famous albums that the Love family has meticulously remade; SO COOL!

Reconnecting at the family’s house is really special for us, and we hope you enjoy this episode full of discussions about growth, family, new albums, upcoming shows, and so much more on this special on-the-move exclusive of Strange Grooves.

Listen and watch the episode below!

Thanks so much for tuning in.

Until next time, Keep it Strange
