Volume 5: Talking albums and more
Hello Everyone!
VOLUME 5 is now Live!
“ALRIGHT NOW!
Won’t you listen?”
-Sweet Leaf – Black Sabbath
This week It’s just Cherise and me, and as usual, we give you a quick recap and update you on what StrangeGrooves is working on; we chat about Halloween, and events coming up, including Letterkenny Live in Moncton. We also discuss a recent show Cherise saw at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John. It was a screening of the 1920s classic horror film Nosferatu with members of the Symphony New Brunswick and Open Arts playing an original score along with it in the pit; I wish I went along with her for this.
We are also creating weekly Spotify playlists featuring the music we discuss on the show and some of your requests! The first one will be shared on our Facebook page later this week. Check back for that!
On the topic of music, we chat about Black Sabbath, who we are spinning this episode, and a very underrated Canadian group from the 1970s called Edward Bear. Cherise is obsessed. You can check out the post she did on them this week here. I also love Queens of the Stone age, the Foo fighters and much more.
As always, please feel free to contact us with your thoughts on what you’d like to see/hear or if you want to get involved. You can get in touch with us through our Facebook page.
