Volume 21: James Mullinger Picks His Poison.

This week we’re joined by renowned, award-winning British comedian, now proud adopted Saint Johner James Mullinger!

If you’re from New Brunswick, you’ve probably heard James’ incredible story already, but if not, you can learn all about him on his official website.

But we didn’t bring James over to talk about his career (though that’s super interesting and awesome too). Instead, we brought him over to discuss his deep love of music. He arrived at Cait’s place with a giant stack of records. He came prepared. We love that. He also brought some beers and incredible stories, so get ready…

We start talking about James’ connection to our new Strange Grooves contributor Jeff Liberty, and how Jeff helped him get his first job in New Brunswick.

We then dive into James’ collection, which includes some of his favourite comedy albums as well as Little You Little Me, Brent Mason, Frank Zappa, Rage Against the Machine, Blur…and, of course, his favourite band Poison! He brought over a lot of interesting soundtracks. You might be surprised what his favourite movie is.

While we have you, please, if you have a toonie or more to spare, please consider supporting us on Patreon.

We appreciate all of your listens, time, contributions, comments likes, all of it. We hope that Strange Grooves allows you some time to yourself and a way to find new things you might like.

Cheers
