Volume 119: Grand Theft Bus

Welcome back, Strange Crew!

Grand Theft Bus is joining us on the show via their rehearsal space in Fredericton in preparation for the upcoming 20th anniversary of their album, Birth Of Confusion, at the Area 506 Concert Series. Friday night will be a place of fun, nostalgia, dancing, and sick jams, yo.

Grand Theft Bus is an Atlantic Canadian Gem that we all hold close to our hearts. This show isn’t just a milestone for the band but also for the fans. Many started going to GTB shows as young adults. Fast forward, and boy, the time flies; we have jobs, families, and things have changed, but not the love of music.

Grand Theft Bus was formed in the year 2000 ( weird saying that) and consists of Tim Walker on guitar and vocals, Graeme Walker on bass and vocals, Dennis Goodwin on guitar, synths, and vocals, Bob Deveau on drums and electronics and 2010, Brad Perry joined the band as synth player.

Fun Fact, Strange Crew Alumni Greg Hemmings and an incredible filmmaker made a mockumentary about the band called Rubarbicon, which was released in 2006. We’re curious, do you have a treasured copy?

The band has six albums; hopefully, we will see a seventh soon.

We hope you enjoy this episode and keep it Strange until next week.
